The City of Santa Monica publishes an annual report for its residents and stakeholders, making it available in both print and digital form. The report needed to reflect the city’s politically progressive spirit and appreciation for strong design and color. I developed a collection of icons which were utilized to create abstract patterns and lend visual texture as well as to represent the various subject matters discussed in the report. Working closely with the City Manager’s Office, I created infographics that were visually arresting and informationally succinct.
